Dr Rand Hindi is an entrepreneur and investor in AI and Privacy. He is the CEO at Zama. Rand started coding at the age of 10, founded a Social Network at 14 and a web agency at 15 before getting into Machine Learning at 18 and starting a PhD at 21. He then created Snips, the first edge-based, private by design voice assistant, which was acquired by Sonos. He has been elected as a TR35 by the MIT Technology Review, as a “30 under 30” by Forbes, is a lecturer at Sciences Po in Paris and an advisor to multiple companies. He was previously a member of the French Digital Council where he focused on AI and Privacy issues. He holds a BSc in Computer Science and a PhD in Bioinformatics from University College London (UCL), as well as two graduate degrees from Singularity University in Silicon Valley and THNK in Amsterdam.

Gilles Fedak is CEO & co-founder of iExec: Blockchain-based Decentralized Cloud Computing. iExec issued the RLC token (listed on coinmarketcap) and realized the first major ICO in France on April 19th, 2017, raising 10.000 Bitcoins (equivalent to 12.5 million USD) in less than 3 hours. iExec builds a decentralized market place for computing resources using the Ethereum blockchain. The first version of the product released in November 2017 allows Ethereum Dapps a scalable, secure and affordable access for their off-chain computations. Gilles Fedak became a Life Fellow in 2004 at the National Institute of Computer (INRIA) in France. 2003 After earning her Ph.D. from the 11th university in Paris, he went on to work as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Diego from 2003-2004. His research interests are parallel distributed computing, focusing on the use of large, loosely coupled, distributed computing infrastructures to support demanding computational and data-intensive science. He has pioneered software and algorithms in grid computing and cloud computing that make it easy for users to harness the massively parallel systems of thousands of machines distributed over the Internet (XtremWeb, MPICH-V, BitDew, SpeQulos, Xtrem -MapReduce, Active Data …). He co-authored about 90 academic papers and two of them received the Best Paper Award. 2012 G. Fedak and C. Cérin co-author “Desktop Grid Computing” (published by CRC). In 2015, he won the “International Talent Project” award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
